    Description

Very Fine 19th Century Korean Joseon Dynasty General on a Horse on
    Jangji Paper (mulberry paper).
These were probably taken off the screen panel long time ago and that is how my parents bought them long time ago and never bother to get it reattached to a screen.
    Age: 19th Century Joseon Dynasty
Provenance: Private collection from South Korea, brought to the U.S. in late 70's. Purchased in Korea in the 60's.
Painter is unknown and most likely painted by an anonymous artist. Korean MinHwa or folk paintings were often painted by an anonymous artist.
This beautiful painting is part of our remaining inventory from my parents Ho Park antique gallery in downtown Seattle, Washington opened 1980 ~ closed 1997.
They brought over hundreds of hand paintings and other Asian antiques
from Korea, Japan and China prior to their gallery opening in 1980.
This item was stored in a storage since 1997 so they are not always in clean.
Paintings are in good condition overall for age but does have wear, tear, stains, mold, discoloration and paper have shrunk around the edges.
There are signs of wear, tear and stains through out entire painting. Please review all the photos very closely and if you need more photos just ask and I will send them to you.
