SS UNITED STATES LINES Two Piece Silver Compote / Manhattan Pattern

This is a heavy, two piece silver compote set from "The SS United States Liner". Both pieces are in very good condition. This set was manufactured expressly for the "Big U" by..."The Gorham Silver Company", which is stamped on the bottom. The SSUS signature "Manhattan Pattern" is present on the wing handles and the outer rims on both pieces. Wine card also included. This set was originally purchased at the 1984 SSUS at auction in Norfolk, Virginia.
