    This is a large silver U.S. Lines fruit basket from "The S.S. United States Liner". Condition is what makes my SS United States items stand out from the rest. As the photo's reflect, the overall
    condition is excellent, and was originally manufactured by..."The International Silver Company". It is stamped...Made Expressly for U.S. Lines / "International Silver Company" on the bottom. The signature SSUS "Manhattan" pattern is very crisp, and is located around the base, outer rim, and handle. This is considered by SSUS collectors to be one of the premier silver pieces to own. This beautiful fruit basket was originally purchased at the 1984 SSUS at auction in Norfolk, Virginia.
