METAL:
Rolled Gold *Rolled Gold (or Gold Cased) is a long lasting form of plating that’s very hard-wearing and durable. The process was invented in Birmingham in 1785 and required a thick sheet of gold to be soldered to a thick sheet of brass. Gold Plating is not the same as Rolled Gold as it is a less durable process which uses a thinner coating of gold.

~ Baroque & Romanesque Design Elements
~ Adjustable with 3 Sizes: 5.5, 6, & 6.5 *Once the size is selected, pull the Slide closure over the end for a more secure fit.
~ Stamped simply W.E.W. & CO *Pardon my mark photo which didn’t turn out well at all.
~ The last photo (for reference only) depicts a variety of these slide bracelets from an 1889 catalog.
CONDITION:
Superb
Antique condition
with very minor metal surface wear noticeable on close inspection. No chips on the garnets that I could detect. Please view all photos to judge for yourself.
