Early Victorian Garnet Ouroboros Snake Locket Bracelet in Sterling Silver Gilt

Description

A gorgeous Sterling Silver Gilt Bracelet. This bracelet dates from about the 1830s-40s. It is crafted from sterling silver with a faded gold gilt. The Bracelet features a hidden locket at the back of the inside wrist. The front features lovely chased work. The bracelet is an ouroboros snake. The head is adorned with rose-cut garnets. The bracket is in very good condition for its age with wear to the gold gilt and a wobbly hinge as well as the locket at the back of the bracelet does not lock closed but does stay closed if properly placed. No hallmarks were located but tested as garnets as well as sterling silver. The clasp functions perfectly with the safety clasp
