Description
Antique French gilt bronze mounted wax seal with agate stone handle. The handle is carved from solid agate stone, and features gorgeous banding of various green hues. Decorated with ornate gilt bronze mounts patterned with flowers and foliage. The matrix bearing monogram of interlaced initials, appears to be YJ. Measures 3 1/8" length. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use. On the top of the stone handle appears to be a natural flaw in the stone, perhaps a deposit or fissure.
