    Description

    9K antique wax stationery/letter stamp. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS priority. This is a special antique piece of jewelry. I can't see a hallmark, but my jeweler tested it as 9K. Which makes sense because it was bought at an antique shop in Honiton, England several years ago. Ladies used the stamp to seal letters and create an imprint in the wax used as a seal. Often modern use is as a pendant worn on a chain. The piece weighs 6.8 grams with the stone, which is engraved with the word "SPEED" above a dove carrying a letter in his beak. The stone is a light violet color, maybe amethyst. I bought it for 0.00 when gold was about 0 an ounce. Now at gold nearing 00 an ounce, it has appreciated in gold price and as an antique piece. Will consider serious offers only. I recently found the chain it was bought with and am adding it to the auction . You are bidding on the stamp and 50" chain; however I don't think the chain is 9K as well. It has a maker's initials on it "J.H.S" but no indication of gold content; nevertheless, they complement each other.
