1950s Brochure for United States Lines Vast Freighter Fleet w/ Interiors & Plans

United States Lines: "Popular Trips on Cargo Ships", a six panel brochure from the mid-1950s promoting USL's extensive fleet of C-2 and Victory Ship freighters.
Three b&w photos shows Spartan cabins with none of the luxury found on competitors such as Holland America or Furness freighters. A larger photo shows a C-2 Dining Room looking very basic.
Four sets of deck plans show three variations among C-2 freighters. The six Victory ships shared the same lay-out with two small cabins and a dormitory with the Dining Room as the only public room. A note indicates only male passengers were accepted on Victory ships.
A long list shows forty-six vessels. USL once flew the American flag in all corners of the globe with this vast fleet. Those days are long gone.
