The ‘definitive’ Nipsey Hussle docuseries is underway, thanks in part to LeBron James’ involvement in the making of the series.
This weekend is the release of the first episode in the long-running docuseries, The Defiant Ones. The show is being produced by LeBron James, and the series is being supervised by James’ friend and brother of Nipsey Hussle, Ron Stallworth, who was a consultant on the documentary and who also produced the HBO documentary series In the Game which focused on the NBA’s 2008 draft.
In addition to James’ involvement with the series, the docuseries was also made possible by James’ friendship with Nipsey Hussle, who was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and has been dealing with the side effects of the disease ever since.
The first episode of the series features James describing his brother’s life, the time he met him, and how they would spend time together on the weekends.
The series will most likely take you down memory lane as it gives an introspective look into the life and career of Nipsey Hussle.
