Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle join forces for California comedy tour

The Rock and Chappelle, who made a splash last year with their joint appearance at the Comedy Cellar in L.A., join forces for a one-night-only live comedy tour, titled The Rock and Dave Chappelle Stand Up and Deal Live. The two stars will play a set of 10 or so shows in various U.S. cities, and will talk about what they learned during their respective years at The Second City, from Rock’s stint in Los Angeles as a student there to Chappelle’s tenure in Chicago. The Rock will also talk about the road to becoming a father (the couple is expecting a baby boy), and talk about his experience hosting a Saturday Night Live episode on April 26.

Rock will talk to us about the show, his comedy and his upcoming film, I Am Weasel, scheduled to premiere in September. Check out the video above to see Rock in action, or scroll down for the complete schedule.

As the show kicks off in Los Angeles, Rock already promises “three or four really great new jokes that I’ve never told before, maybe I’ll do a bit of something I’ve already done, or maybe I’ll do something that hasn’t been in me since I was 15. A lot of comedy is like doing a solo piece of music. You want to put it out there, and then go back to your normal life. So, let’s wait for my life to return.”
