A bakery’s Han Solo bread sculpture that has become a star attraction in the Los Angeles neighborhood where it resides was given a new lease on life Tuesday.

But after hours of repairs and restocking, the sculpture — made of fresh white dough, molded, colored and decorated with fresh fruit — sat in the parking lot of the bakery for a night. The sculpture, which will be featured on this month’s State Farm insurance TV show, turned into a star attraction after it was posted on Facebook with a note telling people to come see it.

“It’s a piece of art that we’ve had for about three years,” said owner Ron Leong, who added that the sculpture was made by local artist Jia Song to fit the Han Solo theme.

“I guess when you look at this piece of art, you get this sense that it’s representing this guy who’s really taking off with the Millennium Falcon.”

While the Han Solo statue has been a featured attraction for the past few years, Tuesday night’s visit to the bakery for a special program on the Food Network’s “
